How I know I am back in Boulder, center of my start-up universe
June 30th, 2008 · No Comments
Got in at midnight, long conversation with Lisa about product, coding, roadmap, the next 10 weeks.
Asleep 2:30 am.
Awake: 6:00 am.
Walking the dog, 6:30 am, drinking coffee 7 am.
Yep, that’s my life here–up late, awake early–feels exactly like what I missed (okay, not really, but it is what I pretty much do here.)

So I won’t be a sour-puss tonight - promise!
Thank you, Michael, for your prompt attention. *Now* I fell all warm [...]

Those who step up to the plate - those who should - and those who…?

Tonight, at TechStars, we have a session on “lessons learned”, with some of the founders of the companies who were here in 2007. At that session, I’d like to walk up to the founders of one of those companies (assuming they’re attending tonight, of course) and say “hey, guys - great job on the customer [...]

I Can Haz… Eco Pass?
Originally uploaded by Catherine Taylor
Last Friday, Lisa handed me a form. “Here, you might want to get one of these.” It was an application form for an Eco Pass - the free travel pass provided to various qualifying groups, including those who work in downtown Boulder. Now, I don’t [...]

At TechStars we are encouraged to practice being uncomfortable. I tell you, it was pretty uncomfortable deciding to leave my family and come here, and it was pretty uncomfortable to be here without what we needed to succeed at first.
But the thing is [...]
